Encourage employees to understand processes with the knowledge that they might have valuable input how the processes might be tweaked to be more efficient if really necessary. Information Technology (Hardware, Software, Networks) has allowed companies to gather so much data because of cheap storage. The good executive has to eliminate the information that is not necessary. Speed and simplicity has to remain in the back of a manager’s mind. Don’t let analyzing data become more important than serving the customer.
